Ry and I had a wonderful time yesterday at the Renaissance Fair. It was a first for us and we loved it. I am so ga ga over that whole time period anyway, so seeing all of the costumes, etc. was thrilling for me. Ryan got his turkey leg, which made him happy and topped the day off with 2 wooden swords that he can paint himself. So for him, it was a good day. I mean turkey legs and swords in the same day! Does it get better for a 12 year old? I don't think so. The weather was PERFECT! I think it was 79 or 80 with a slight breeze. The sun felt great, although our poor winter skin is a bit red this morning. I loved trying something new and spending a whole day away from the house with just the two of us. And I think we only had 1 'tude moment that lasted about 30 seconds. Wooo Hooo!!! (gotta love those pre teen hormones!)
I took my bike out for it's maiden ride this morning. YAHOO! It was fantastic. A little Michael Buble on my iPod and my bike was a perfect combo. I am pretty out of shape though, so I only lasted about 25 minutes. It was REALLY windy and I was fighting the wind the whole time which did not help, but it was a great feeling to be on a bike again. I have not owned a bike since I was in middle school. That was a long long time ago. haha! I think my bike it REALLY going to help in my weight loss efforts. BONUS!
But I think my bike needs a name. I was thinking about Lizzy (after Elizabeth from P&P) but I'm not sure if she is a Lizzy or not. So I need suggestions! Let me know what you think I should name her.
Happy Sunday everyone!
